Okay, so they brought Han Solo to Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge, which is awesome, but honestly, a lot of us fans are a little disappointed. He doesn’t quite look like the Han we know and love – his outfit is off, and that wig… well, let’s just say it’s not his best look. It’s a bit jarring to see him like that in the park!
Galaxy’s Edge focuses heavily on the most recent Star Wars films – The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker – and its attractions and experiences reflect that era.
As a huge Star Wars fan, I’m so excited that when I’m walking around the park, I might actually run into characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, or Captain Phasma! It’ll be amazing to see them in person.
Han Solo, the original character, is joining the area, but a video announcing his arrival has upset some fans, who have voiced their disappointment.
Star Wars fans says “that’s NOT Han Solo”
Come face-to-face with Han Solo, captain of the famous Millennium Falcon, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park beginning April 29th.

A short video clip shows Han Solo leaving the Cantina and quickly chatting with Chewbacca. He then gives a salute to the camera. The video was released with the message: “Never tell me the odds. You can meet Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park beginning April 29.”
However, most of the comments were critical. One person wrote, “That’s not Han Solo,” and another said, “He’s no Harrison Ford.”
People are constantly comparing the new actor to Harrison Ford, with some questioning why a realistic mask wasn’t used instead. One fan asked if they could use a mask to make him look like a younger Ford, while another sarcastically commented on the lack of resemblance.
People are commenting on the actor’s appearance, suggesting he looks too young to play an older version of Han Solo and more suited for a younger role like a new Solo movie.
He also criticized the clothes they were wearing, saying they looked like cheap Halloween costumes and questioning why they couldn’t afford something better, especially considering the high cost – around $200 per person – just to enter the venue.

As well as the hair, via the brutal but succinct “Worst wig ever.”
It’s puzzling why Disney doesn’t try to find performers for their parks who look like the characters they’re portraying.
However, it’s not all negative. Many fans are excited that original characters are finally being included, which is something longtime supporters have been asking for since Galaxy’s Edge first opened.
Some people are defending the performer, arguing that complaints about his appearance are ridiculous. One commenter pointed out that he’s simply a Disney cast member whose job is to wear the costume, resemble Han Solo generally, and take pictures. If people want the actual Harrison Ford, they should get a cardboard cutout.
From April 29th, you can find Han Solo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. And if you’re curious, you can check out our ranking of the greatest Star Wars characters to see where he lands!
