The new Skate game from EA is finally launching in early access this week! Full Circle, the game’s developer, has announced the exact times the servers will go live on September 16th and 17th, depending on your location, so you know precisely when you can start playing.
The first Skate game was released in 2007, followed by Skate 2 in 2009 and Skate 3 in 2010. A mobile version, Skate It, came out in 2008. After that, the series went on hold for over ten years until EA announced a new Skate game – also called Skate – in 2020.

The new Skate game is free to play, but requires an internet connection and includes optional in-game purchases. As it’s currently in early access, it’s not a complete game and some aspects may not be perfectly balanced. The developers, Full Circle, plan to listen to players and use their feedback to improve the game by adding features like new game modes, tricks, leaderboards, and voice chat with friends over time.
Players on all platforms – PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S – can play together and carry their progress across devices from day one, so you won’t have to wait for that feature!
The game is set in the imaginative world of Sna Vansterdamn, a place divided into four distinct neighborhoods. The developers at Full Circle promise the world will constantly change and grow, with new areas, challenges, and music being added regularly during the early access period.
