The popularity of realistic simulation games isn’t slowing down, as Skyhook Games just revealed Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 – and it includes a significant new feature you should know about right away.
Self-publishing
Following the success of the first game, Skyhook and Curve Games are no longer working together. Skyhook will now publish and handle the second Lawn Mowing Simulator game on their own. While this means they’re taking on all the financial risk, they’ll also have full creative control and ownership of the project.
The developer acknowledged that many people likely feel the video game industry is facing challenges right now, and that’s accurate. With numerous games being cancelled and people losing their jobs, the decision to publish their game independently feels even riskier, they explained.
Skyhook has secured enough funding through the success of the first Lawn Mowing Simulator to begin development on the sequel. However, they’re also starting a Kickstarter campaign to gather additional funds, which will allow them to enhance and broaden the game’s features.
What’s new in Lawn Mowing Simulator 2?
Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is building on the original with a more detailed and expansive lawn care experience. It’s set in the USA and includes a wider selection of mowers and trimmers, improved grass visuals, a completely revamped career mode, and, as players have requested, leaf blowers!
As a huge fan, I’m so excited to hear that leaf blowers are finally coming to LMS2! The developers at Skyhook have said they’ve known we’ve wanted them for ages, and they’re planning to make them a core part of the game for cleaning up leaves and grass. But it gets even better – they’re not just adding the leaf blowers, they’re building a whole system so you can actually blow around *thousands* of leaves at once! It’s going to be amazing.

Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is being created for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. We don’t know when it will be released yet, but you can find more information on its upcoming Kickstarter page.
Relaxing simulator games have become incredibly popular. In fact, in 2021, the game ‘Lawn Mowing Simulator’ briefly had more viewers on Twitch than the much more action-packed ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’.
