Shocking Honkai Star Rail 3.4 Leak Reveals Mysterious Firefly Skin!

Rumors about a potential new character skin in Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4 have surfaced, and while it’s intriguing, I’d encourage interested players to approach this information with a grain of salt. Although we’re currently in Phase 2 of version 3.2 for HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG, there have been several leaks hinting at the contents of version 3.4, even though most of these leaks are actually about version 3.3 due to ongoing beta tests. So far, these leaks have given us a glimpse into some of the initial details regarding the Fate collaboration characters in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4.

Beyond the anime figure potentially joining the game during Version 3.4, the leaks also suggest that Phainon, a key character from Chrysos Heirs, will be introduced as a playable character in the forthcoming update. Details regarding these units remain scant at present, with only whispers about their paths and elements circulating. However, it’s expected that more substantial leaks will surface soon. Furthermore, there are rumors about character buffs scheduled for release in Version 3.4, one of which points towards the potential opportunity to farm Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail.

Firefly Skin Has Leaked For Honkai: Star Rail 3.4

The Most Recent Stellaron Hunter May Also Get A Rerun Banner

Beyond just revealing combat-related elements like characters’ kits and enhancements, these leaks have also highlighted various other features of the upcoming patch. As per the trustworthy leaker Luna, who accurately predicted Hyacine and Cipher as playable characters in Version 3.3 and their respective kits, it is said that Firefly will receive a new character skin in Version 3.4, alongside a special rerun banner within the patch. This information was shared in a Reddit post marked as “Reliable.” Luna does not disclose any additional details about the Firefly-related leaks for Honkai: Star Rail.

As a dedicated fan, I find myself intrigued by the whispers surrounding the Firefly skin: The iconic 5-star character, Fire Destruction, is not closely tied to the current narrative and has no impact on the campaign following her involvement in Penacony. Even though cosmetics aren’t necessarily dependent on a character’s participation in the campaign, the talk about a Firefly skin in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 is still quite surprising.

Unexpected Firefly Skin Leak May Be A Hoax Given Previous Honkai: Star Rail Leaks

Kafka’s Rumored Skin Has Yet To Be Released

While the possibility of a top-tier DPS character receiving a new skin certainly piques interest, it’s essential to approach this leak with added caution given the circumstances. Despite the leaker having a reputation for credibility, the idea of a Firefly skin appearing in the game might initially seem too good to be true. After all, Firefly isn’t currently central to the game’s main storyline. Although this doesn’t necessarily rule out the character receiving a cosmetic item, the absence of additional details about a Firefly skin is worth noting.

What’s puzzling, though, is the accumulation of leaks suggesting skins that haven’t materialized yet in Honkai: Star Rail. Previously, there were whispers about a March 7th skin and a Kafka skin. The former indeed came to fruition, but the latter, much-rumored Kafka skin still hasn’t made an appearance. Over the past year, mentions of a Kafka skin have cropped up frequently, yet HoYoverse doesn’t appear close to launching it. To think that a new Firefly character skin could be given priority over the long-awaited Kafka skin feels implausible, and this casts doubt on the validity of these leaks.

In addition, if HoYoverse were to introduce a new skin in Version 3.4, it could be plausible to propose Kafka as a suitable character for a fresh outfit. In this upcoming version, several veteran characters like Kafka, Blade, Jingliu, and Silver Wolf are set to receive updates that will bring them back into the limelight within Honkai: Star Rail. Given the speculation surrounding Kafka’s potential skin and the outfits being a reward for making these characters relevant again, she is the most likely candidate for a new outfit among this group, and it would be more rational to choose her over Firefly.

Despite my eagerness to think that the rumored new outfit for my top Fire DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail is true, I’m cautious about this leak due to past unreliable leaks. Not only has Kafka’s reported skin never materialized, but there have been a series of false leaks, such as details about Screwllum’s release, Mr. Reca’s release, and many other claims that haven’t come true. Given that Version 3.4 is almost here, I find it doubtful that an obtainable Firefly skin in Honkai: Star Rail will appear anytime soon.

How A Firefly Skin Could Be Justified In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4

The Update Could Celebrate Stellaron Hunters In Different Ways

It’s quite unbelievable, and I tread carefully with this rumor, but there remains a possibility that the leak is true and Firefly might receive a new skin during her anticipated return in Version 3.4. A small detail lends credence to this cosmetic item’s potential appearance: Stellaron Hunters. Previously, we learned that Kafka, Blade, Silver Wolf, and Jingliu will be boosted in Version 3.4. With the exception of Jingliu, all of these characters are key members of the Stellaron Hunters from Honkai: Star Rail, which suggests that Firefly may have been overlooked in terms of buffs.

Firefly, being a leading Break DPS character and a more recent addition to the roster, doesn’t require any gameplay adjustments (buffs) at this time. Instead, it seems that the upcoming Firefly character skin is being developed as a way to celebrate all Stellaron Hunters without altering her gameplay mechanics. This would allow for all current Stellaron Hunters to receive recognition, with Firefly receiving it through the anticipated cosmetic outfit. This could explain why the rumored Firefly skin was prioritized over Kafka’s leaked outfit in Honkai: Star Rail.
