To ensure compliance with regulations concerning the privacy and online safety of younger gamers within the United States, we’re planning to implement Age Verification (Age Gate), Parental Controls, and provide more detailed Warp Rate disclosures in Honkai: Star Rail for our American players.
▌Age Verification
It’s strongly recommended that you share your age details with us by the 18th of July, 2025. If we don’t receive confirmation about your age by this date, depending on your account status, some features like in-game friend list and chat history might be removed.
Should the verification process not be finalized by July 20th, 2026, the data associated with the affected account will be erased completely and irreversibly.

▌Parental Controls
To ensure continued use of HoYoverse services by U.S. players underage, parental or guardian consent is mandatory. Failure to provide this consent within the specified timeframe may lead to deletion of your account and all associated data. This action is permanent, cannot be reversed, and the data will not be recoverable.
Once parental consent for data processing is granted, additional consents will be required for accessing Honkai: Star Rail and using in-game social features to protect the privacy and online safety of young players. Parents and guardians can manage these permissions through the new Parental Control Portal.
Payment access controls for Honkai: Star Rail will become available in July.
