A speedrunner managed to complete Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal in under a second by exploiting a strange glitch called a ‘Wrong Warp.’
A video posted online demonstrates the game immediately jumping to the ending credits after starting up, completely bypassing the entire story campaign.
Wrong Warp glitch skips entire game
Okay, so in speedrunning, we often use something called ‘Wrong Warps’. Basically, it’s a glitch where I mess with how the game loads stuff, forcing it to send me to a completely unexpected place – sometimes even right to the end credits! It’s all about finding ways to skip large chunks of the game.
Many popular speedrunning games, from classics like Ocarina of Time to challenging titles like Elden Ring, can have their normal order of play completely changed using a technique called Wrong Warp.
This particular exploit works only on the PlayStation 3 version of Up Your Arsenal, as it functions differently from the initial release of the game.
Xem explained on X (formerly Twitter) that this trick works because exiting the game on the PlayStation 3 can cause problems with how the game saves certain data. They said the PS3 version of the game is unusual and doesn’t handle closing properly.
It’s now possible to complete Ratchet & Clank 3 in under one second! This isn’t a hoax – a player named Joaof discovered a glitch called “Wrong Warp to Credits,” demonstrated in a video by @sakeube.

You can save the game’s progress by entering a specific code when you exit, allowing you to resume from that point later.
One particular game setting controls how the game ends. Specifically, setting the game to state number 9 instantly triggers the credits to roll, jumping directly to the ending sequence.
The process is simplified by modifying the game’s save file. Specifically, changing the file’s timestamp lets you quickly trigger a glitch called ‘gs9’ almost as soon as you start the game.
The playthrough finished the game in less than a second, even though the video timer showed four seconds. Xem explained that speedruns of Up Your Arsenal don’t officially begin until the player controls Ratchet.
It seems almost impossible to break this record, but you can never be certain. Still, it’s hard to imagine anyone being fast enough to do it, even with a large reward.
