Credbull Closes $5.2M Round Led by Gnosis VC to ‘Democratize Private Credit’ On-chain

As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience in both traditional finance and decentralized technologies, I find myself constantly intrigued by the rapid pace of innovation in this space. Today, I was particularly captivated by two projects that are pushing boundaries in their respective domains: Credbull and Mira.

EXCLUSIVE FROM PROTOCOL VILLAGE: The startup called Credbull, who initiated the launch of what they termed as the “first licensed on-chain private credit fund” on Polygon PoS blockchain in April, has secured a $5.2 million funding round spearheaded by GnosisVC. Additional strategic investments were made by Outlier Ventures, HODL Ventures, XBTO, LucidBlue Ventures, CryptoHedge, Marcello Mari (SingularityDAO), and others. As stated by the team, “Credbull seeks to make private credit RWA investments more accessible by bridging traditional finance with Web3.”

VitaDAO Founders Launch Protocol ‘BIO’ With DAOs to Raise Funding for Scientific Research

The creators of VitaDAO, a Web3 community focusing on longevity health research and products, recently introduced BIO, a new protocol designed for global communities of patients, scientists, and biotech innovators to collectively invest and commercialize novel therapeutics. As stated by the team, earnings from these therapeutics will be channeled into the BIO Network, benefiting network members. The initial token generation event (TGE) for BIO was successfully completed, garnering $6.2 million in a public sale, with venture capital firms such as Zee Prime, 1kx, and ID Theory participating. Details regarding the second round of BIO’s TGE will be disclosed shortly. Based on project documentation, BioDAOs gather funds through token sales and employ these resources to finance and develop biotech projects relevant to their mission, with shared intellectual property ownership among members. They leverage Molecule’s onchain IP framework to manage, license, and trade the intellectual property stemming from the projects they support.

As a researcher delving into the world of DeFi, I’m excited about the upcoming launch of Aave V3 on Era Mainnet, a move powered by the efficient ZKsync technology. This partnership promises to give Aave access to advanced zero-knowledge tech at a low transaction cost, all while relying on Ethereum for its security via cryptographic validity proofs.

Decentralized AI Project Mira Hires Uber’s Naik as Chief Product Officer

Mira, a platform for decentralized artificial intelligence infrastructure, recently brought on board Ninad Naik, a previous executive from Uber, as their Chief Product Officer. The team has stated that in his new position, Ninad will spearhead innovative product development, playing a significant role in Mira’s objective to broaden global access to AI through decentralization. Prior to joining Mira, Ninad led the core marketplace product for Uber’s food and grocery delivery business on a global scale. Earlier in his career, Ninad held various General Manager and product leadership roles at Amazon, across its AI, hardware, and marketplace businesses.
