A new trailer for the game Pokemon Champions was revealed during the February 2026 Pokemon Presents. The Pokemon Company also announced when players can start playing: it will launch on Nintendo Switch in April, and then become available on iOS and Android devices later this summer.
The Pokémon Company has showcased Pokémon Champions in the past, including trailers released last July and August. The latest trailer also revealed that players can battle each other on both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, thanks to cross-play functionality.
In addition to the main trailer, the company has released the game’s opening movie on their YouTube channel. You can watch both videos below.

Pokémon Trainers will be able to compete in the new Pokémon Champions game on Nintendo Switch starting this April, with a mobile version launching later in the year.
Connecting Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME will allow Trainers to bring Pokémon from both games into Pokémon Champions, letting them battle together. Plus, Trainers who transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME will receive special rewards like Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite, and Greninjite stones.
Pokémon Champions is also planned to be featured as a competitive game at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.
