As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in the crypto market, I have seen numerous projects rise and fall, some legitimately groundbreaking and others merely flash-in-the-pan schemes. The Pi Network, while initially promising, has left me feeling a bit skeptical.

The Pi Network, an innovative mobile application enabling users to mine digital currency directly on their smartphones, has become one of the highly sought-after initiatives globally in recent times, captivating the interest of millions across the planet.

The app has been downloaded more than 50 million times from the Google Play Store, with users anxiously waiting for the release of its token, PI, and its eventual listing on various cryptocurrency exchanges. However, there is no clear information yet as to when or if these tokens amassed by many users (ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands) can be traded.

Just as CryptoPotato noted, the team has pushed back a crucial deadline to December 31st. This extended period allows users to complete the necessary Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks. This phase is often referred to as the “Grace Period” and is apparently a requirement before they can launch their mainnet and subsequently issue their token.

Yet, numerous users often experience disappointment due to the team’s history of repeatedly extending deadlines for this project. Initially set for September 30th, it was moved back to November 30th, and now it’s slated for the end of December. This pattern has led many to question the authenticity of the project.

It’s additionally important to mention that numerous online articles speculate about the project having garnered billions in investments. However, the team has yet to make any formal announcement or verification regarding this matter.

In a recent discussion, the PiBridge team, who are developing a system intended to link the Pi Network with other technologies, did not provide details about the rollout of their main network.

As we currently stand, the immediate deadline that demands our attention is on December 31st. What remains to be seen is whether the team will push this deadline back for another extension.

Currently, the Pi Network team is encouraging influencers to submit applications for their program before the official launch of the network.
