In the Stargate SG-1 episode “The Other Side,” the team meets a potential ally who offers advanced technology. While O’Neill is eager to trade for it, Daniel Jackson worries about the ethics of getting involved in a conflict they don’t fully understand. His concerns prove valid when they discover the Eurondans have dangerous, Nazi-like ideologies, prompting O’Neill to disable their defenses and leave them open to attack from their enemies.

The film Swiss Army Man is a quirky and surprisingly touching story about a man trying to end his life (played by Paul Dano) who gets stranded on an island. He unexpectedly finds companionship – and a path to hope – in a corpse (Daniel Radcliffe) that washes ashore. The movie is a strong piece of work and helped establish Daniel Radcliffe as an actor beyond his famous role as Harry Potter.

Apple is continuing its commitment to Foundation, having already released three seasons and renewed it for a fourth. Based on Isaac Asimov’s classic novels, the show was initially planned as an eight-season story, and there’s still plenty of narrative left to tell. This kind of long-term planning is unusual for today’s TV shows, particularly in a genre that requires viewers to be patient and engaged over time.

I’m so excited to hear that all three of the Chicago shows are coming back! Chicago Fire will be on for a 15th season, Chicago PD for a 14th, and Chicago Med for a 12th. What’s really cool is that NBC renewed them much earlier than usual – typically, we find out in April, around the time NBCUniversal shows off its upcoming programs to advertisers. Variety reported that this is a surprisingly early announcement for the One Chicago franchise.

As a critic, I’ve been consistently impressed with Taika Waititi’s work. He really made his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the incredibly fun Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder. But he’s not just a superhero director – his film Jojo Rabbit was brilliant and even earned him an Oscar for its screenplay! Now, he’s flexing his storytelling muscles in a new direction, having written the story for a new animated short based on the popular video game Brawl Stars, introducing the character Najia. It’s fascinating to see his creative range extend to different mediums.

Usually, we suggest the best shows on streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and HBO Max. But this series is different – it’s perfect for people who enjoy unintentionally funny, low-quality entertainment. The 4-part Netflix thriller has received overwhelmingly negative reviews and currently has a 25% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite this, it’s become strangely captivating – it’s so bizarre and badly made, it’s worth watching just for the experience.

The first two seasons of Paradise have created a rich and complex world that constantly throws obstacles in the path of Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown). The first season focused on establishing the show’s setting and Collins’ quest to find his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma), while the second season dramatically changed things by adding a new, surprising twist to the story.
