To further protect accounts, the company suggests using passkeys. Nintendo explains that because passkeys are difficult for fake websites to copy, they help users spot and avoid phishing scams when logging in.
To help keep your Nintendo Account safe from hackers, we suggest using the ‘Passkey’ feature. Passkeys prevent logins on fake websites, making it easier to spot phishing attempts.
In March 2025, Netflix alerted its users to a global scam email attempting to steal their banking information.
