Boxroom lets you visualize your Steam game library as a real, physical collection – like having shelves full of games you can actually see and display, bringing back the feeling of collecting physical copies.
Over the past few years, people have been steadily moving away from buying physical copies of games. Instead of game cases lining shelves, digital game collections are becoming the norm. As a result, disk drives are becoming less and less common, especially in newer computers.
There’s a new game concept that lets you physically display your entire Steam game collection. It creates a box for each game, letting you organize and showcase them in a virtual dream room.
Boxroom brings your Steam library to life
Boxroom is a game where you get to design your dream room. You can create anything from a cozy bedroom to a fully equipped office or games room, and fill it with furniture and decorations like desks, chairs, and posters to make it your own.

After setting up the shelves, you can display your Steam games as physical collectibles, giving each game its own unique case.
Each unique box is created using information from the game’s Steam store page, like its cover art, pictures, and screenshots. This makes the boxes look like actual, physical game copies – essentially building a tangible collection out of a digital one.
To really personalize your gaming space, consider adding posters or displaying your collection proudly. It’s a great way to show off what you’ve accumulated, and you can even share it with friends – who might be surprised by how much you’ve invested!
Boxroom doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but you can try out a demo on Steam now. It lets you experience your digital games as if they were physical objects in a room.
