As a seasoned crypto investor with a knack for staying ahead of the curve and a keen eye for opportunities, I find the partnership between LibertyX and NCR Atleos to be nothing short of a game-changer. Having navigated the often labyrinthine world of digital assets, I’ve encountered more than my fair share of hurdles when it comes to cashing out my bitcoin holdings. The introduction of this Bitcoin Cashout feature is like a breath of fresh air, offering a seamless and efficient solution that caters to the needs of everyday investors like myself.
LibertyX’s Bitcoin Cashout feature enables seamless Bitcoin withdrawal options for users in 30 different U.S. states, which can now be integrated by NCR Atleos.
NCR Atleos, a company that offers Automated Telling Machines (ATMs), and LibertyX, a platform for converting bitcoin to cash, have rolled out a new Bitcoin Cashout service through Atleos’ ATM network. Now, LibertyX users can exchange their digital assets within the app for hard cash at selected NCR Atleos ATMs in 30 states across the U.S.
Users of the LibertyX app can choose ATMs located for convenience to receive U.S. Dollars from the bitcoin they’ve sold. This is facilitated by Atleos’ unique ReadyCode API, a system that generates one-time use codes for transactions. First, users initiate the transaction on the LibertyX app, then visit an Atleos ATM with the API nearby and input the code related to their specific transaction to withdraw cash. Each withdrawal is limited to $400 per transaction.
According to Stuart Mackinnon, Atleos COO, the Bitcoin Cashout feature is designed to help consumers, issuers, and merchants by connecting digital solutions and services with physical infrastructure. By providing LibertyX users an option to exchange their digital assets for real cash, this feature strengthens LibertyX’s value proposition, boosts customer traffic at partnering merchants, and amplifies the efficiency of our ATMs.
Chris Yim, who serves as General Manager at LibertyX, pointed out one of the lingering challenges preventing broader consumer adoption of bitcoin. He explained that it’s often difficult for people to convert bitcoin into cash quickly and seamlessly, without facing delays from ACH transfers or dealing with the intricacies of wire transfers. However, he highlighted a solution offered by LibertyX – Bitcoin Cashout. This feature enables users of the LibertyX app to arrange digital-to-physical transactions directly from their mobile devices for privacy and convenience. They can then retrieve their funds at a time and place that suits them best.
Last year, the parent company of Atleos, NCR, acquired LibertyX. This strategic move combines their technological prowess and scale, utilizing LibertyX’s extensive network of Bitcoin Cashout features across the United States, which can be integrated into NCR’s vast network of ATMs. Furthermore, LibertyX possesses a New York BitLicense, enabling NCR to meet regulatory requirements more easily with this integration.
