Millie Bobby Brown became a major star thanks to her role as Eleven in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. She played the character for almost ten years and was a big reason why audiences around the world fell in love with the strong-willed teenager. However, her time on the show ended last year with the finale of season five.
As a huge fan, it felt like a real end of an era with the Stranger Things finale, especially for the actress who played Eleven. She basically grew up as Eleven, and I’ve always admired how she’s been eager to take on different roles and show her range. Now that Stranger Things is finished for her, it seems like she’s even more determined to explore new characters and projects. It’s not that the show is over for everyone, just for her personally.
Released in early 2026 between seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things, the animated series Tales from ’85 continued Eleven’s story. Millie Bobby Brown, the main star of the show, wasn’t involved, and a new voice actor, Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, took on the role of Eleven. In fact, none of the original live-action cast members participated in the animated production.
Millie Bobby Brown’s deal with Netflix is still strong. In just one month, on July 1st, she’ll be back with the third Enola Holmes movie, keeping her popular with Netflix viewers.
Enola Holmes 3 Is A Great Way For Millie Bobby Brown To Return To Netflix
Just seven months after the end of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is back as Enola Holmes in the third movie of the series. She first played Sherlock Holmes’s sister in two previous films that were both popular with Netflix viewers.
As a huge fan of clever mysteries, I was thrilled when Enola Holmes came out in 2020! It really resonated with critics and audiences alike – I remember seeing it had a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and Netflix reported it was watched in a whopping 76 million homes. But the sequel? Even better! It scored an amazing 93% on the Tomatometer, and in just the first four weeks, people streamed it for over 150 million hours. It quickly shot to the top 10 most-watched films globally on Netflix, which is fantastic to see.
Although Stranger Things was also highly acclaimed, the Enola Holmes films allow Millie Bobby Brown to showcase a different side of her acting. She gets to be more expressive, funny, and charming, making the movies genuinely enjoyable to watch – and that’s expected to continue with Enola Holmes 3.
The latest Enola Holmes movie brings back Millie Bobby Brown as the clever detective, just as she’s getting ready to get married. But her wedding plans are put on hold when Sherlock disappears! The trailer shows a thrilling new case that really lets Enola shine, and promises another fun and exciting adventure.
Millie Bobby Brown & Netflix’s Partnership Will Continue After Enola Holmes 3
I was completely hooked by Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things and loved watching her grow in the Enola Holmes movies. It feels inevitable that she and Netflix will team up again, and honestly, it makes so much sense! She’s already proven how great she is for them with projects like The Electric State and Damsel. Netflix clearly knows she’s a huge asset, and I’m excited to see what they create together next.
She’s quickly becoming a popular actress on Netflix, and will appear in several future films, even though Millie Bobby Brown decided not to participate in their movie about the Olympics, called Perfect. Following Enola Holmes 3, her next project will be the romantic comedy Just Picture It, featuring Gabriel LaBelle, who starred in The Fabelmans. The movie has already finished filming and might be released later this year.
I’m really excited to hear that Netflix is turning Millie Bobby Brown’s first novel, Nineteen Steps, into a movie! It’s based on her grandmother’s experiences during World War II, which sounds incredibly moving. Apparently, they’ve got Tom Hooper directing, and Millie’s even hoping to star! Plus, she’s not stopping there – she’s also landed the lead role in a brand new supernatural series for Netflix called Prism. She’s definitely staying busy and I can’t wait to see both projects come to life.
Millie Bobby Brown is likely to continue playing Enola Holmes for years to come, and Enola Holmes 3 is just the beginning. She considers Netflix her creative home and plans to tell many more Enola Holmes stories there.
