The extra-large “Forever Roll” toilet paper is now available in stores nationwide, after first being sold exclusively online.
This Charmin roll has 1,700 sheets, which is about 30 times the amount you’d find in a regular roll. The company says it should last for around a month, depending on how much it’s used.
Originally launched online in 2019, this extra-large toiletry product is now widely available in stores. It’s expanding from initial testing, which focused on customers with smaller homes and apartments.
A household upgrade
Charmin developed the Forever Roll after hearing from customers who were tired of frequently changing empty toilet paper rolls – surveys revealed this was a major bathroom frustration for over 80% of people. They say a single Forever Roll could stretch as tall as the Washington Monument if fully extended.
Charmin says the Forever Roll can reach as high as the Washington Monument when unrolled.Because the new rolls are so large, Charmin is offering a special stainless-steel stand to hold them. You’ll be able to find it at stores like Target and Walmart.
It’s not just the U.S. – Japan is also seeing extra-large toilet paper rolls! In June, 7-Eleven Japan introduced a roll that’s over seven times the size of a typical one, claiming it’s the longest available in the country.
