I’m so excited about the new James Bond game, 007 First Light! They’ve just announced Gemma Chan – you probably know her from movies like *Crazy Rich Asians* and *Captain Marvel* – is joining the cast. She’s going to play a character named Selina Tan, and I can’t wait to see what she brings to the role!
She’s a highly skilled and enthusiastic researcher specializing in psychology and how people make decisions. This character, an MI6 employee, was essential in James Bond becoming a 00 agent.
Chan isn’t new to video games, having previously played Erys in Diablo IV. She’s now also featured in 007 First Light, and you can see a trailer for the game below.
The cast of 007 First Light features Patrick Gibson as James Bond, alongside Priyanga Burford as M, Lennie James as John Greenway, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, and Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth.
The game 007 First Light will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC starting March 27, 2026. Meanwhile, Amazon MGM Studios is working on the next James Bond film with director Denis Villeneuve. According to reports, Villeneuve will start looking for a new actor to play Bond in 2026, meaning the movie is still quite a ways off from release.
