After the first two weeks of the 2025 NFL season, player ratings in Madden NFL 26 are starting to be finalized. The latest update to the game adjusted the ratings of players on thirty of the thirty-two NFL teams, with some teams seeing five or six players improve or decline in ranking.
The newest Madden NFL update brings significant improvements for several players. Puka Nacua, wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has jumped to an overall rating of 90, up from 88 last week. Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson also saw a boost, now rated at 93 overall. Other players with notable increases include Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (87 overall), Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (88 overall), and Chargers safety Derwin James (94 overall).
Several players saw their ratings decrease this week. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s rating fell four points to 78, and Russell Wilson, quarterback for the New York Giants, dropped two points to 74, even after a good performance in Week 2. Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix also saw a drop to 78, and Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson’s rating went down to 92.
This week’s update to player ratings had the biggest impact on the Philadelphia Eagles, with 13 players seeing adjustments. The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints were the only two teams whose players’ ratings remained unchanged.
