Meyers made a joke about budget cuts, saying that from now on, jokes would be followed by a “rim shot” sound effect, and the intro music for “A Closer Look” would be replaced with someone singing these lyrics instead of being played by the show’s live band. It’s a pretty simple song – the words are just “Time for a Closer Look.” Let’s just say it’s not exactly a masterpiece, and a sad goodbye to the Late Night band, right?
