As an analyst with a background in cryptocurrency and meme culture, I cannot help but feel a pang of sadness upon hearing the news of Kabuso’s passing. His image, a Shiba Inu dog with quirky eyes and expressive facial features, served as the inspiration for the creation of Dogecoin back in 2013. The currency was initially conceived as a lighthearted joke, but it soon gained traction and paved the way for an entire sector of meme-inspired tokens.
In a heartfelt blog post shared on Friday, Kabuso the beloved canine icon and representative figurehead for dogecoin and various other meme currencies, has sadly departed from us at the age of 17 years.
As a crypto investor, I’m looking forward to bidding farewell to Kabo-chan this coming Sunday, May 26th. The event will take place at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City, between 1pm and 4pm.
