In the game Honkai: Star Rail, Jiaoqiu plays a role that is comparable to the 4-star character Pela. While at level 0 (E0), his performance matches an E5 (level 5) Pela, given that he is a 5-star character, there’s more potential for him to become more significant as he advances through his Eidolon. In terms of combat effectiveness, while Jiaoqiu’s debuff that increases damage received is equivalent to Pela’s defense reduction, he stands out particularly when it comes to supporting characters who primarily deal damage with their Ultimate abilities, such as Argenti and Acheron.

When it comes to Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail, things can get a bit intricate as there’s a broad range of Relics that can benefit him. For boosting Effect Hit Rate (EHR), the Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise is an excellent choice due to its ability to significantly raise his EHR and ATK%. If Jiaoqiu is joining forces with characters like Acheron who rely on Critical Damage (Crit DMG), you might want to consider the Broken Keel. Lastly, it’s wise to equip the Space Sealing Station on characters that deal damage over time (DoT) since their damage is scaled based on their Attack Power (ATK%).
When it comes to Jiaoqiu’s Relic Stats, strive for approximately a 180% Effect Hit Rate as this significantly boosts his Attack Percentage and ensures that all his attacks activate his debuffs. Moreover, this Light Cone equips Jiaoqiu with a skill to weaken enemies, amplifying the damage they take not only from him but also from his fellow allies.
Amongst all of Jiaoqiu’s exceptional Light Cones, Reforged Remembrance stands out as one of my favorites due to its ability to bestow him with Effect Hit Rate in addition to bypassing enemies’ Defense for his DoT. Comrades wielding Silver Wolf’s finest weapon, Incessant Rain, can also benefit from this artifact on Jiaoqiu. This remarkable weapon enhances EHR and Crit Rate, but the latter is ineffective on Jiaoqiu as he doesn’t utilize it. However, the debuff it applies to enemies – increasing the damage they receive – is similar to the one that Those Many Springs bestow upon him.
Regarding the 4-star Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail, the S5 Eyes of the Prey is an excellent choice for Jiaoqiu. This Light Cone provides him with a reasonable amount of Effect Hit Rate and a satisfactory boost to his Damage over Time (DoT).
For F2P options, go for S5 Before the Tutorial Mission Starts or S5 Solitary Healing. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts gives a small amount of Effect Hit Rate with some Energy if Jiaoqiu is paired with characters that reduce enemies’ DEF like Pela.
