Is Bob’s Burgers leaving Hulu? Why subscribers are threatening to ‘get rid’ of streaming service

Many people enjoy watching Bob’s Burgers on Hulu, but recent news has caused concern among fans, with some considering canceling their subscriptions. However, there’s no need to rush and do that just yet.

Man, 2025 has been *amazing* for TV so far! I’ve been glued to the screen with the new seasons of shows like Severance, Wednesday, Andor, and The Last of Us. Plus, we got Squid Game Season 3, another season of The Bear, the return of Daredevil with Born Again, and I finally got to check out Peacemaker Season 2. It’s been a great year to be a TV watcher!

Plus, shows like the Netflix dramas *Adolescence* and *The Pitt* have really taken off. And we’ll *finally* get the fifth season of *Stranger Things* later this year.

Sometimes you just want a lighthearted show to watch while relaxing, and Bob’s Burgers is perfect for that. It’s currently available on Hulu, as it airs on Fox, but there’s speculation that might be changing.

Is Bob’s Burgers leaving Hulu?

Don’t worry, Bob’s Burgers isn’t going anywhere on Hulu. Some fans got a notification saying the show is ‘expiring’ in September 2025, but that just means the current licensing agreement is up for renewal, not that the show will be removed.

If you notice an “expiring” label on shows like Bob’s Burgers or Family Guy, it generally indicates that Hulu is in the process of renewing its agreement to keep those episodes available.

The show itself won’t be removed, but episodes might temporarily disappear. They’ll likely return when the new licensing agreement starts, or new seasons will be added as they become available.

Now that Season 16 of Bob’s Burgers is coming soon, it’s expected that Hulu will keep all previous seasons (1-15) available, and will add the new episodes shortly after they air on Fox.

Shows like ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ have carried similar warnings in the past, but they’re still available to stream on Hulu.

Subscribers threaten to ‘get rid’ of Hulu after false alarm

Even so, the announcement concerned many fans, as one Redditor put it, “If Hulu cancels Bob’s Burgers, I’m canceling my subscription.”

Leaving Hulu?

I totally get why people are saying this show is the only reason they still subscribe to Hulu! It’s a lifesaver for me too. And honestly, I’m lucky I’m in Canada because our Disney Plus includes all of Hulu’s stuff, so I don’t even *need* a separate subscription – it’s the best of both worlds!

But others quickly offered explanations. One person commented, “I’ve noticed ‘exp’ appearing in many shows over time, and none of them have ever been canceled, so I highly doubt they’d remove one of their most successful programs.”

Someone else pointed out that this often happens during show renewal periods. It appears as if content might be expiring as the contract date approaches, but the warning disappears once the show is renewed.

We recently had a worrying situation with Bones, and now that the warning notice has been removed, it’s still a concern. It’s just more difficult to predict which items will actually be removed or become unavailable.

Someone else mentioned it’s really popular on Hulu, and they agreed, but also said it’s still concerning.

When is Bob’s Burgers Season 16 out?

Good news for Bob’s Burgers fans! Season 16 is coming soon, and all previous episodes will still be available. The new season kicks off with the episode ‘Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening’ on September 28, 2025, at 9:30 PM Eastern and Pacific time on Fox.

I’m so excited! After it airs, we’ll be able to stream the new season on Hulu the very next day. And the best part? New episodes will come out on the same day every week! This season, Season 16, has a total of 15 episodes, so there’s plenty to watch!

While the current season is a bit shorter than the typical 22 episodes, fans don’t need to worry about the show ending soon. The network has already renewed it for four more seasons, along with renewals for Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, and Family Guy.

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade stated that the long-term nature of their deal shows how dedicated they are to continuing their successful relationship with Disney and its team.

This partnership has consistently created lasting benefits and helped us grow our audience across platforms like FOX, Hulu, and to fans around the globe, and it will continue to do so.
