As a seasoned veteran of Honkai: Star Rail, I must say that March 7th is truly a formidable character to behold. Her hybrid break build, with its impressive ATK stats and blazing SPD, is nothing short of marvelous. With her enhanced basic attack dealing up to a whopping 120 Toughness damage, she stands tall as the queen of toughness damage in the game.

In the game ‘Honkai: Star Rail’, you initially obtain a 4-Star Preservation Ice unit on March 7th without cost. Later, by completing the mission titled ‘March to Mastery: A Star is Born’, you can utilize this character in Imaginary Hunt. Additionally, players receive for free the first three Eidolons of March from the ‘Saga of Primaveral Blade’ event.

Best Imaginary Hunt March 7th Relics in Honkai: Star Rail

Hunt March 7th Build In HSR - Honkai: Star Rail

Best Hunt March 7th Relics in Honkai: Star Rail – Crit Build

On the 7th of March, the optimal unconditional artifact collection for enhancing her CRIT build is the timeless 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat. This set stands out not just because of its ATK enhancement but also its increase in Speed and Basic Attack Damage. The majority of March’s damage comes from her boosted Basic Attacks, which can potentially strike up to eight times following the use of her Ultimate, making Musketeer a fantastic choice for amplifying her capabilities. For this playstyle, it is beneficial to have an Erudition, Destruction, or Hunt character as March’s Shifu target, as they increase her Basic Attack Damage.

The “Explorer in Stagnant Seas” is an excellent card pick, slightly surpassing “Wheat Marauder” under ideal circumstances. If gamers opt for the “Explorer in Stagnant Seas”, they should have Topaz’s unique Light Cone, as well as cards like “Worrisome, Blissful”, and a group of debuffers to get the most out of it. In the end, the damage disparity between these two artifact sets is quite small and will depend largely on the specific substats generated.

Another option for March is to run 2-piece combinations of ATK, DMG, or SPD relic sets. This includes Musketeer of Wild Wheat, Wastelander of Banditry Desert, Messenger Traversing Hackerspace, Prisoner in Deep Confinement, and The Wind-Soaring Valorous. While 2-piece combinations fall slightly behind the two 4-piece choices in terms of damage, they are still great unconditional options for players with pieces that have amazing substats. Overall, Musketeer of Wild Wheat remains the top recommendation for most players, as it is not advised to pull Worrisome, Blissful solely to make Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters work on March 7th.

As a fan, I can’t help but sing praises for Planar Ornaments, particularly when it comes to my favorite pick, the Rutilant Arena. It truly outshines its close competitors like Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm in terms of flexibility. You see, these two necessitate having a Hunt unit in your team, whereas Rutilant Arena stands alone.

Imaginary March 7th Ideal Stats for CRIT Build
2,500-3,000 ATK
124+ SPD
70+ CRIT Rate
140+ CRIT DMG

On March 7th (hypothetically), with the E6 setup, players have some flexibility to increase the allocation of stats towards Critical Rate and decrease it slightly for Critical Damage.

Best Hunt March 7th Relics in Honkai: Star Rail – Break Build

7th March finds success with a hybrid Break build, trading off some Attack (ATK) and Critical Stats for the Break Effect. This setup works best when combined with units like Imaginary Trailblazer and Ruan Mei, who also possess Break abilities. For optimal performance, pair March with a unit specializing in Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, or Abundance to boost March’s Toughness Reduction using Basic Attacks on the Shifu target. The two primary relic set choices for this strategy are Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge and Thief of Shooting Meteor. While Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge offers more power, it demands a greater investment to maximize its potential.

The Iron Cavalry’s initial 150% Break Effect condition is relatively straightforward and offers a substantial 10% Defense ignore when inflicting Break damage. To unlock a tougher 15% Defense ignore for Super Break damage, you must reach a demanding 250% Break Effect, which can be achieved not only by activating the Imaginary Trailblazer for Super Break but also by relying on teammates to assist in reaching that target. Luckily, this second condition is optional for Iron Cavalry to match up against the Thief of Shooting Meteor. Players intending to exploit the Super Break effect should equip Boothill’s unique Light Cone, Sailing Towards A Second Life, to practically meet the Break Effect criteria.

In March, you have two choices for Planar Ornaments: Talia’s Kingdom of Banditry or Forge of Kalpagni Lantern. The Forge of Kalpagni Lantern provides Speed (SPD) and a slightly stronger Break Effect, but its Fire Weakness limitation might be more limiting than the SPD prerequisite on Talia’s Kingdom of Banditry.

To make sure the Break Effect stat works effectively with hybrid March, her Attack (ATK) and Critical Rate (CRIT) will typically be lower compared to her CRIT-focused build. However, maintaining a Speed (SPD) of at least 124 SPD is important as it triggers the first breakpoint of 134 SPD with March’s E1 upgrade. Alternatively, players might choose to decrease their Critical Rate ratio slightly in order to reach the 150 SPD mark, which corresponds to the second breakpoint of 160 SPD, providing more frequent Toughness damage instances.

Imaginary March 7th Ideal Stats for Hybrid Break Build
2,000-2,500 ATK
124/135 (Talia)/150 SPD
50+ CRIT Rate
100+ CRIT DMG
150%+ Break Effect

When paired with Ruan Mei, the Advanced Attack on March 7th has the ability to inflict a maximum of 120 points of Toughness damage, which is the greatest in the entire game.

Best Imaginary Hunt March 7th Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail

Hunt March 7th Build In HSR - Honkai: Star Rail

As a gamer, I’m excited about the Light Cone choices for my CRIT build on March 7th. Seele’s signature Light Cone, “In the Night,” takes the lead with its impressive CRIT performance and synergy with SPD stats. “Baptism of Pure Thought” and “Worrisome, Blissful” aren’t far behind, boasting strong CRIT statistics, follow-up boosts, and a harmonious connection with the “Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters.”

The best free option is Cruising in the Stellar Sea, which is easily obtainable at Superimposition 5 from Herta’s Store. This 5-Star LC is incredibly close in power, at S5, to the limited options for March 7th, saving players from needing to pull on them solely for her. Players can also run 4-Star LCs, such as Swordplay and Only Silence Remains. However, players will need them at S5 and use them in niche settings for both to remain competitive with the rest.

For March’s Break build, Sailing Towards A Second Life is the best choice, offering a 60% (S1) Break Effect increase to help players reach the conditions for Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge. This LC also grants 20% (S1) DEF ignore for Break DMG and a massive 12% SPD boost.

Even though all Break Effect-related Light Cones along the Hunt Path have been depleted, Critical Light Cones (CRIT LCs) remain excellent alternatives, given March’s emphasis on Critical hits outside the Break phase. Additionally, players might choose the 4-Star Light Cone named “River Flows in Spring,” which can be acquired using Lucent Afterglow, for its beneficial Speed and Damage enhancements.
