In the latest version 2.3 of “Wuthering Waves”, a novel addition called Modifiers has been introduced. These Modifiers enable you to alter the Primary Attribute of an Echo, offering a fantastic new way to customize your gameplay experience. However, it’s important to note that there are certain constraints associated with them, and this brief guide will outline how to effectively utilize them.
How to Use an Echo Modifier in Wuthering Waves
Echo Modifiers serve as tools to alter the primary attribute of unleveled, non-upgraded Echoes. Once an Echo gains a level or undergoes any upgrades, it will no longer be modifiable with these items. So, think carefully and make sure you really want to change an Echo’s main stat before proceeding with the modification process.
To use a Modifier on an Echo, follow these steps:
- Open your Terminal and navigate over to Data Bank
- From the Data Bank screen, navigate to the Data Modify menu
- This will place you in the interface where you can modify an Echo
In Echo Modification, you need to assign a single modifier for each alteration made, and it’s important to be aware of certain constraints as you go through the process.
- You can only change the Main stat of an Echo. Sub-stats are not eligible under any circumstances.
- The new Main Stat must be one that can legitimately exist on that Echo type
- For example, a 4-Cost Echo can’t be changed to have an Elemental DMG Bonus stat, as that’s not supported for that Echo type
Make sure you’re 100% certain before modifying, as Modifiers are limited!
How to Get More Modifiers in Wuthering Waves
In the game “Wuthering Waves”, Modifiers are a precious, scarce resource. They are limited in supply, hard to get hold of, and it’s crucial to use them thoughtfully. Here’s where you can potentially find more: (current known sources)
- Purchased through the Store
- You can buy additional Modifiers using Afterglow Coral. However, I strongly advise against this. Afterglow Coral is an extremely rare, high-value resource that you earn only by pulling in the Gacha. There are many better uses for them than buying Modifiers, but this option is still available to you.
- Earn them through Event Rewards
- Events sometimes include Modifiers as part of their reward pools
- Be aware: these are usually limited quantities, and may not be repeatable
- Earn them through the Pioneer Podcast
- The Wuthering Waves Battlepass includes earnable Modifiers in both its Free and Paid tracks.
- If you choose to unlock the full Paid version of the Pioneer Podcast, you’ll receive even more Modifiers as you level it up.
