As a seasoned Honkai: Star Rail player with countless hours spent navigating the cosmos, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming version 2.5 update! The new storyline set in the Wardance tournament on Xianzhou Luofu promises to deliver intense battles and intriguing twists – just what this space traveler craves.
HoYoVerse has revealed that the next significant update for Honkai: Star Rail, version 2.5, is set to debut on September 10, 2024. Entitled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue,” this update will progress the game’s narrative further and introduce new playable characters and activities. The newly introduced characters are Feixiao, Lingsha, and Moze, while the activities encompass repeatable battles for in-game resources and reoccurrences of the Warp banners featuring popular character reruns.

In the world of “Honkai: Star Rail,” I, as a gamer, am eagerly anticipating the arrival of version 2.5 update. This exciting new chapter will introduce the Wardance, a unique fighting tournament set in Xianzhou Luofu. The build-up to this event was already underway during the 2.4 update, where myself, along with March 7th and Dan Heng, were invited to rejoin the festivities in Luofu. However, trouble is brewing as our old adversaries, the Borisin, a werewolf-like faction, have their own sinister intentions for disrupting the tournament. As members of the Astral Express, it’s up to us to join forces with the luminaries from Luofu and other Xianzhou nation-ships to thwart the Borisin’s nefarious plans. Let the games begin!
In the upcoming version 2.5 update, three fresh characters will join the game: Feixiao, the Xianzhou Yaoqing’s Arbiter-General, a potent Wind-element Hunt unit who excels in dishing out damage; and Lingsha, set to debut on the second main banner, a 5-Star Fire-element Abundance character and Cauldron Master. Feixiao’s mastery of martial arts enables her to capitalize on her teammates’ attacks, strengthening her own before launching a barrage of powerful strikes that ignore elemental weaknesses. Meanwhile, Lingsha can summon an incense beast that damages enemies while healing allies when it attacks. Her ultimate ability combines these effects and boosts Break damage against enemies as well.
During the upcoming update, there will be repeats of Warp banners showcasing well-liked restricted characters. These reruns include banners for Robin, Black Swan, Kafka, and the duo Topaz & Numby.
