In the Honkai Star Rail version 3.3 update, Cipher will be introduced as a playable character! She has the capability to become a formidable Nihility character, but it requires a significant effort to maximize her strength. Here is a comprehensive list of all the materials required for Cipher’s Ascension and Trace that you need to gather. Fortunately, many of them can be pre-farmed now!

In various regions of Amphoreus, you’ll encounter Black Tide creatures that occasionally drop items called Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament. Be sure to check your inventory regularly as you might already be hoarding some of these items unknowingly.

In simpler terms, the substance called Darkveil Moonlight – essential for Quantum Ascension – can be obtained from a location known as Stagnant Shadow node within Amphoreus. Interestingly, this material was previously utilized by Castorice and Tribbie, implying that you might have some of it already.

Where to farm Darkveil Moonlight

You’ll find the opportunity to harvest Darkveil Moonlight within the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Gelidmoon node, which is located in the Murmuring Woods region, specifically in the Grove of Epiphany area, in Amphoreus.

If you haven’t opened that particular area just yet, you can gain access to it through the Temporary Early Access feature in your Adventurer’s Handbook. This functionality becomes available when Version 3.3 is launched.

You have another option to acquire Darkveil Moonlight – through the Omni-Synthesizer. By exchanging two distinct Ascension materials, you’ll receive one Darkveil Moonlight. However, remember that this transaction is limited to 20 times each week.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m on a quest for some rare materials known as Fiery Spirit, Starfire Essence, and Heaven Incinerator. These precious items are called Nihility Traces, and they all drop from the Crimson Calyx Bud of Nihility in the Alchemy Commission of Xianzhou. I’ve got to gather these materials quickly if I want to keep progressing in my game!

I regret to inform you that it’s currently not possible to pre-farm the drops from Cipher’s Echo of War as she needs a fresh resource. Instead, you might want to focus on farming materials for Hyacine in the meantime.
