As a long-time Honkai: Star Rail enthusiast with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming addition of Rappa is music to my ears! With his focus on AoE damage and toughness reduction, he seems like a formidable newcomer in the game’s roster.
Information from a recent leak suggests that the enigmatic character, Rappa, is set to make his debut in version 2.6 of ‘Honkai: Star Rail’, expected later this year. Similar to other characters who have been previously introduced, Rappa, along with newcomers Lingsha and Feixiao, will be temporary additions to the game’s playable roster in future updates.
According to leaks, the game Honkai: Star Rail is expected to add at least two new characters with each update. It’s rumored that Lingsha and Feixiao will be introduced in version 2.5, a prediction made easier by the fact that they have already had their promotional campaigns for quite some time now. Further updates are anticipated to bring Rappa and Fugue, who might appear as early as version 2.6 or later, with information about them being relatively limited at this point. However, a recent leak has offered a glimpse into one of the skills that one of these upcoming characters will possess.
New information about the character Rappa in Honkai: Star Rail, leaked from HomDGCat, provides insights into their abilities. Upon using Rappa’s ultimate ability, they gain an extra turn and three empowered basic attacks. These empowered attacks cause area-of-effect damage and lower an enemy’s toughness, regardless of its type of weakness. This makes it simple for Rappa to drain the target’s toughness meter and apply a debuff and increased damage on them.
Honkai: Star Rail’s Rappa Will Allegedly Ignore Enemy Weakness
As a gamer, if this leak turns out to be accurate, I’m super excited about Rappa! Instead of exploiting its foes’ vulnerabilities, it seems Rappa will relentlessly deplete the toughness gauge with each boosted fundamental attack. Just like Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail, it looks like Rappa will aim to break the target’s resistance and put it in a vulnerable state. Moreover, rumors suggest that Rappa will enter a combat mode, effectively shielding itself against all incoming attacks using an impressive defensive technique.
Regarding durability, t Star Rail might introduce a new toughness aspect. The specifics about its operation are still unclear, but it seems to provide another chance for Weakness Break and inflict extra damage on opponents. According to the leak, this new feature is called Feigned Toughness, which is reportedly around 25% of the base Toughness, making it easier for characters to deplete it.
