Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals Phainon’s Hometown Map

I recently stumbled upon some juicy leaks about Honkai: Star Rail, and it looks like we’re getting a peek at a brand new map area in Version 3.4 – seems to be linked to the mysterious past of Phainon, one of the most eagerly awaited characters joining our roster in the upcoming patch!

In its latest version 3.3 update, Honkai: Star Rail introduced two new 5-star characters – Hyacine and Cipher. Hyacine is a Wind Remembrance unit offering party-wide healing, while Cipher pairs well with teams specializing in follow-up attacks as a Quantum Nihility character. The update also enriched the game’s lore by shedding light on the Chrysos Heirs and setting up the events leading to Phainon acquiring the Worldbearing Coreflame. Players can look forward to playing as Phainon in version 3.4, with more details about his backstory coming soon. A new leak hints that an upcoming update might allow players to explore Phainon’s hometown.

In the latest video posted by well-known leaker Firefly, we get a sneak peek at a new map area expected in update 3.4. The clip starts with Cyrene appearing as an NPC at a quaint fishing hamlet. The setting boasts items such as treasure chests, Space Anchors, and a Garmentmaker, hinting that it’s an area players can revisit. As shown in the leaked footage, the zone appears to be a small village surrounded by wheat fields and houses, with few NPCs present. This map is believed to be the hometown of characters Phainon and Cyrene, Aedes Elysiae, according to previous mission descriptions provided by Phainon. Interestingly, Phainon mentioned that Aedes Elysiae was destroyed by the Flame Reaver before the game’s timeline. However, it seems that in Honkai: Star Rail update 3.4, they may find a way to resurrect it.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals New Explorable Area Connected to Phainon and Cyrene

It might appear unusual for players to speculate about Aedes Elysia, but Honkai: Star Rail has hinted at it in the latest update. Towards the end of Version 3.3 Trailblaze Mission, Cyrene made her first in-game appearance and conversed briefly with Phainon. Prior missions suggested that the Flame Reaver had slain Cyrene, but now she seems to be alive again. It’s noteworthy that Honkai: Star Rail’s Cyrene shares a strong resemblance with Elysia from Honkai: Impact 3rd, and it is expected that she will play a significant role in the resolution of Amphoreus.

In the upcoming Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail, we have a major update planned. Alongside Phainon’s highly anticipated arrival, we’re thrilled to introduce a crossover with Fate/Stay Night!
