As a seasoned gamer with years of battling Valkyries under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming collaboration between Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail! Having been a fan since the early days of HoYoverse’s action-packed mobile game, I’ve eagerly awaited this crossover event.
HoYoverse has unveiled that Version 7.9 of Honkai Impact 3rd will incorporate a joint event with its strategic RPG counterpart, Honkai: Star Rail. Additionally, the studio has released a sneak peek video, providing a glimpse into the forthcoming collaboration between Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail.

In simple terms, we anticipate the update for Honkai Impact 3rd, version 7.9, to drop towards the end of this year. A collaboration video associated with it is set to premiere on September 19th. Unfortunately, the specific date for when the collaboration itself will start hasn’t been disclosed yet.
The latest version of Honkai Impact 3rd, titled “Drudging, Drifting, Dreaming” (Version 7.7), debuted Theresa’s Schicksal S-Rank QUA-type battlesuit on September 5. This update primarily centers around Vita and Theresa as they assist Dreamseeker and face a fresh boss. Furthermore, players have the opportunity to collect Vacation Tickets by engaging with the main storyline and special events, which can lead to additional prizes.
The special “Honkai: Star Rail” Pioneer Edition is set to arrive soon, offering a PlayStation 5 game redemption code for unique in-game items, a gilded holographic 9-card character set, two PlayStation 5 holographic mini Trailblazer keychains, the main game disc and cover, as well as a postcard. Based on product listings, the Pioneer Edition is tentatively scheduled for release on March 31, 2025, although this date may be subject to change.
In Q3 of 2025, Archer (Emiya Shirou) and other Servants will hop on the Astral Express as part of the upcoming collaboration between Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works. Keep an eye out for more collaborations with Honkai: Star Rail, coming soon!
Finally, “Honkai Impact 3rd” can be played immediately on Android, iOS, and computers through Steam, Windows, and Mac. On the other hand, “Honkai: Star Rail” is also playable right away on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and PC using Windows and the Epic Games Store.
