Heinz is celebrating the 2026 NFL Draft with a new marketing campaign highlighting a famous number associated with the brand.
The annual player draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23rd to 25th, where teams will choose from a large group of promising young athletes. This year, one special player will receive a unique award connected to the history of a famous food company.
The player chosen as the 57th pick in the draft will receive a special title, “Mr. 57,” a nod to Heinz’s famous “57 varieties” slogan.
Heinz introduces “Mr. 57” tradition at NFL Draft
The player drafted at number 57 will be greeted by Devin Hester, who was also chosen at that same spot in the 2006 draft by the Chicago Bears.
The chosen player will get a special red “Mr. 57” jacket, free ketchup for life, and a chance to work with the brand when they start playing in the NFL.
Having been a 57th draft pick myself, I understand how significant that position can be,” Hester said.
Heinz has made the number 57 famous because of its long history, and it’s exciting to see that same number highlighted during a major football event.
Being drafted is a lifelong memory, and we’re thrilled to welcome the first player designated ‘Mr. 57’ and start a new tradition honoring those who truly impact the game.

Fans can unlock Uber Eats deal during No. 57 pick
In addition to promoting deals for players, Kraft Heinz is also offering a special, short-term discount for fans who are watching the draft.
While the 57th draft pick is being announced, viewers can get $25 off their Uber Eats order at participating restaurants across the country.
The campaign also celebrates Heinz’s history, with events planned in Pittsburgh, the city where Heinz ketchup originated back in 1869.
The company plans a large-scale marketing campaign to generate excitement before revealing its first Mr. 57. This will include over 150 billboards, a branded boat on the city’s rivers, and tasting stations in various locations.
And this isn’t the only sports promotion happening in 2026! Mountain Dew is also offering free Baja Blast every time a player hits a home run in Major League Baseball that goes over 420 feet.
