Hatsune Miku Gets Massive New Mecha Upgrade in First-Look Design Reveal

For nearly twenty years, this popular singer has delighted fans with her unique vocal style and a wide range of merchandise. Her newest collection reimagines her as a mecha anime character, drawing inspiration from a classic toy line.

GRANDE SCALE presents a new Hatsune Miku figure, building on a popular design from Kotobukiya and making it larger and more detailed than before. This figure is part of a series inspired by a well-known line of collectible robot models. Pre-ordering now includes a special bonus item, though the figure won’t be available for several months.

Hatsune Miku Gets Her Biggest Kotobukiya Model Kit Release Yet

This 1/6 scale Hatsune Miku figure, from GRANDE SCALE Frame Music Girl, is a larger, more detailed version of the original design by Humikane Shimada and Takayuki Yanase (previously released as a Kotobukiya toy). Surprisingly, the increased size allows for a more faithful recreation of her iconic Vocaloid color scheme, with colors appearing more balanced and accurate.

Although her overall design hasn’t changed much, there’s a lot more fine detail, especially around her waist, likely because this is a collectible toy. She comes with five different pairs of hands and many parts of her body are poseable, including her skirt. She also has a belt that can unfold to become wings, like a jetpack.

This figure offers a lot of customization! You can choose arms with or without puffy sleeves for different looks. It includes three different faceplates – looking left, right, or as if she’s singing – and even comes with a microphone and stand so she can perform. The hands can be swapped to hold accessories like guns or swords, adding to the playability.

As a huge fan, I’m so excited about this new Miku figure! It’s part of the Frame Music Girl line, which actually spun off from Kotobukiya’s Frame Arm Girls series. If you’re not familiar, Frame Arm Girls is basically the female counterpart to their Frame Arms mecha line – you’ll often see those alongside other popular mecha figures. You can pre-order this GRANDE SCALE Frame Music Girl Hatsune Miku right now from Kotobukiya’s U.S. website for $99.99, and it’s expected to ship around October 2026. I’ve already put my order in!

Although collectors have plenty of time to decide, it’s beneficial to pre-order now. Pre-orders come with special clear hair parts for Miku, and these are available only while supplies last. This is a great perk for fans of Vocaloid and mecha who want to add something unique to their collection and showcase the digital singer’s newest figure.
