Global version of MMORPG Aion 2 set to release in 2026 for PC via Steam

NC America will release the PC game Aion 2 worldwide later this year. It will be available on both Steam and NCSoft’s Purple platform. The game was previously released in South Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025.

So, Aion 2 is coming out, and it’s set about 200 years after the first Aion we all played back in 2008. The cool thing is they’re launching servers all over – North and South America, Europe, and Japan! Plus, they’re making it accessible to a ton of players by offering the game in ten different languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. It’s awesome they’re thinking about everyone!

NC America announced today that Aion 2, the exciting open-world multiplayer game, will be released on Steam and other platforms later this year. A key feature is the ability to fly anywhere in a massive world – 36 times larger than the original Aion – and players can also explore underwater and battle others in the air, both against computer opponents and other players.

The team behind Aion 2 has been working hard to create a version of the game for players around the world, and they plan to regularly connect with players and the media in Western regions throughout the year. They’ll be sharing more Aion 2 news in May and are excited to answer questions from the community.

First, the Aion 2  global version is built specifically for PC.

Aion 2 servers will be located in North and South America, Europe, and Japan. The game will support 10 languages – English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese – allowing players to choose their preferred language within the game.

Starting today, players worldwide can now add Aion 2 to their Steam Wishlist and visit the official website for more information and to connect with the Aion community.

NC’s Chief Business Officer, Seunguk Baek, stated that Aion 2 has consistently improved through updates and by actively listening to player feedback. They aim to deliver the same high-quality gameplay and responsiveness to players globally.

Aion 2 delivers a rich gaming experience with both engaging player-versus-environment and thrilling player-versus-player combat. A key feature is its freedom of movement, especially through flight, offering stunning aerial battles and allowing players to explore the world from above. Combat is fast-paced and requires skillful timing, accurate attacks, and smart positioning alongside the classic targeting system.

Aion 2 features a wide range of PvE challenges, including dungeons for solo players and groups of four, as well as large eight-player raids. Success in these activities relies on skillful gameplay, precise movement, and effective teamwork. For those who enjoy player-versus-player combat, Aion 2 offers everything from one-on-one duels and small-scale arena battles to large, cross-server Realm-vs-Realm conflicts, and the return of the Abyss, a faction-based PvP zone from the original Aion.
