Drinkbox Studios, known for games like Guacamelee!, Severed, and Nobody Saves the World, revealed during today’s Nintendo Indie World showcase that their upcoming Action-RPG, Blighted, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 this fall. It will also be released on PC at the same time.
Blighted is a Metroidvania-style Action-RPG where you can play solo or with a friend to fight through a strange and unsettling western world, trying to restore the memories of your people. By defeating enemies, you’ll gain “Blight,” which lets you change the environment, alter battles, and uncover secret areas. The game’s music will be composed by award-winning Jim Guthrie (Sword & Sworcery, BELOW, Nobody Saves the World), who will create a haunting atmosphere for this ruined world.
