DragonSword: Awakening is coming to PC via Steam this July

Hound13 has announced that their action RPG, DragonSword: Awakening, will launch in July. Players can try out a demo during the Steam Next Fest in June 2026.

The upcoming game draws heavily from DragonSword, which originally released in South Korea this January as a live-service title. However, according to Hound13’s Hooon, this new version, called Awakening, will be a one-time purchase – there won’t be a monthly subscription. They do plan to offer downloadable content like character outfits and mounts, though.

You’ll find the official trailer, game details, and screenshots for DragonSword: Awakening below. The game will be released in Korean, English, Japanese, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. While the developers at Hound13 confirm they didn’t use AI to create any of the game’s content, they did use it to help with translation for the game and official announcements.
