Monster Hunter Wilds Is Finally Running Better On PC

Recently, a player discovered a surprising reason why the game struggles to run well on Steam: it repeatedly checks how much downloadable content you have. The more DLC you own, the smoother the game seems to run, and the player provided strong proof to support this idea.

As an Elder Scrolls Online veteran, I’m worried its new seasonal model could kill my favorite MMORPG

2025 was a tough year for Microsoft-owned Zenimax, and that impacted the team working on The Elder Scrolls Online. They had to cancel a major, unannounced game project, which created a demoralizing atmosphere. One quality assurance tester described it as working “among a graveyard.” The remaining, smaller development team will now focus on continuing to support The Elder Scrolls Online.

Monster Hunter Wilds has sold 11 million copies, Capcom says, but it’s barely clinging to the best-seller list thanks to the likes of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry

Monster Hunter Wilds has been facing several problems. Although the game had some issues with how difficult it was, these were quickly overshadowed by its poor performance, particularly on computers. Kingdom Come: Deliverance devs considered using Robin Hood’s England or medieval Germany for the action-RPG, but Warhorse ran into a problem – the team “knew nothing” about those eras

Both Medieval Germany and the time period depicted in the Robin Hood legends (roughly the 15th century) would have made compelling settings for a game, particularly a detailed action-RPG focused on historical accuracy. However, the team at Warhorse Studios ultimately decided that changing the game’s location wouldn’t live up to their own high expectations for the project.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Is Undoubtedly Coming to PS5 at This Point

Over the last year, Xbox has increasingly acted like a game publisher that isn’t tied to specific hardware. While they still make the Xbox Series X and S consoles, they’ve started releasing games on platforms beyond just Xbox and PC. We saw this with the release of Gears of War: Reloaded on PS5, and it’s happening again with the upcoming remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, which will also be available on PS5 from day one. This means even Xbox’s biggest games aren’t exclusive to their consoles anymore. Although these initial releases are remasters or remakes of older titles, Xbox’s recent moves suggest a clear direction for the company – one that will likely affect the future of The Elder Scrolls 6.
