In a recent interview, Caleb McLaughlin (who plays Lucas) discussed what’s coming up for his character. It appears Lucas will be focused on protecting Max (Sadie Sink), who is still in a coma. However, McLaughlin hinted that it won’t be simple for Lucas to deal with this difficult situation and his feelings for her.

Despite recent difficulties, there’s good reason to believe this new film will eventually be made. It has the potential to significantly impact how people view superhero movies, making it a crucial project for DC.

There’s speculation that Daniel Day-Lewis might respond to comments made by his former co-star, Brian Cox. Cox has criticized Jeremy Strong’s acting style, calling it intensely irritating and comparing him to Day-Lewis. While the “Method” – an acting technique emphasizing emotional realism – originated with Konstantin Stanislavski, it’s often popularly understood as an actor taking their role too seriously, staying in character constantly and becoming difficult to work with. Cox believes Day-Lewis retired at 55 because the demanding process was unsustainable. He acknowledges that while Strong’s dedication produces exceptional results, it can be draining for everyone else, as he told Seth Meyers in 2021 and again in a 2022 interview with Deadline.

Will Poulter, known for his role in The Maze Runner, was originally chosen to play Pennywise in Cary Fukunaga’s planned version of It. However, when Fukunaga unexpectedly left the project and the film’s direction and timeline changed significantly, Poulter left as well. This opened the door for Bill Skarsgård to take on the role. Ultimately, the film underwent a complete creative overhaul, rescuing the adaptation and becoming a defining work of modern horror.

2025 wasn’t a blockbuster year for Marvel, but they still released more successful movies than failures, and their TV shows were generally well-received. The most discussed show was Daredevil: Born Again, which fans appreciated for building on the popular Netflix series and bringing back beloved characters.

The film 100 Nights of Hero features Maika Monroe, Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Charli XCX, Amir El-Masry, Richard E. Grant, and Felicity Jones. The story centers on Cherry (Monroe), a noblewoman whose husband, Jerome (El-Masry), wagers with a charming friend, Manfred (Galitzine), to see if she’ll remain faithful. Meanwhile, Cherry’s maid, Hero (Corrin), attempts to distract Manfred and protect Cherry.

François Truffaut, a friend and competitor of Godard’s from the influential film magazine Cahiers du cinéma, is about to unveil his critically acclaimed debut film, The 400 Blows, at the Cannes Film Festival. Godard, meanwhile, is feeling frustrated. He had hoped to direct a film by age 25, like Orson Welles did with Citizen Kane, but hasn’t. He’s driven to create something – anything – and while he has some ideas, he’s more focused on the act of filmmaking itself than on the final product, thanks to his complex theories about cinema.
