I used to love L.A., but that changed. Leaving turned out to be surprisingly difficult, because I genuinely grew to appreciate so much about the city – the amazing food, the thriving arts scene, the incredible variety of nature, and its energetic atmosphere. L.A. really is a great place! However, watching the city’s more closed-off side through the show, especially as seen through the eyes of its creator, Lorene Scafaria, felt surprisingly relatable. While people will likely compare I Love LA to Girls, I think it’s more similar to Entourage, with all the ambition and sometimes harsh realities of Hollywood that show portrayed.
The episode “Bahdl Harmon Birthplace (Disputed)” is the best one so far, finally focusing on Ron Trosper’s character and his past. The script, written by Sarah Schneider (a former head writer for Saturday Night Live and co-creator of The Other Two), skillfully uses flashbacks and ends with a powerfully emotional conclusion.

Last week, he kept following Kevis, even after spotting a strange, large book in her backpack. This week, after finding a hidden message while loudly and inappropriately flirting at work, he’s shocked and feels betrayed by information that was either obvious or should have already been known to him.
The new film, The Odyssey, boasts a stellar cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway, continuing director Christopher Nolan’s tradition of assembling incredible actors for grand, sweeping movies. Nolan is increasingly known for creating large-scale cinematic events, and The Odyssey is already generating unprecedented excitement – IMAX tickets for the film sold out a year before its release. The movie will be filmed entirely on 70mm IMAX, promising stunning visual quality for this classic story.
With Gregory and Janine officially a couple on Abbott Elementary, it’s interesting to look back at how they got there. Their friendship, especially Janine supporting Gregory’s growth as a teacher, created a strong connection that makes their romance feel genuine and well-deserved.
I was really blown away by the premiere of IT: Welcome to Derry – it grabbed my attention immediately! And HBO Max was awesome enough to drop the second episode early, right on Halloween night. Whether you watched it then or later, ‘The Thing In the Dark’ is a fantastic continuation of the story. It really starts to explore why the military is so interested in Derry and Leroy Hanlon, and it does so in a really compelling way.
