With so many adaptations of Stephen King’s work, it’s easy for some to get overlooked. Even dedicated fans might have missed some, like the eleventh Children of the Corn movie or the 2023 prequel to Pet Sematary. Despite this, many excellent King adaptations don’t receive the attention they deserve. Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is a prime example – a surprisingly scary coming-of-age story that quickly faded from view on Netflix. But it remains a great choice for fans of It, exploring similar, unsettling themes that are sure to captivate audiences.

Alan Ritchson, the star of the Reacher series on Prime Video, not only has a diverse skillset but also excellent taste in movies. He’s revealed that Flight of the Navigator is one of his favorites, and even if that doesn’t pique your interest, the film has a lot to offer. In Fountain of Youth, the treasure hunters uncover a huge cavern under the Great Pyramid of Khufu. While the Khufu pyramid is Egypt’s most famous landmark, the film falls into a common Hollywood trap of focusing on just one Egyptian site, ignoring the country’s vast history. This feels out of character for director Guy Ritchie, whose films usually explore lesser-known locations. The Red Pyramid at Dashur would have been a more unique and fitting setting for the story.

TO Books, a Japanese publisher of light novels and comics, has reported surprisingly strong sales over the past eleven months. As a result, they’ve officially raised their earnings expectations for the year, which concludes in April 2026.
