The episode’s most powerful moment is likely the opening flashback, which finally shows the destruction of Shady Sands – an event previously only talked about in the Fallout games. Shady Sands was once the capital of the New California Republic and a key location in Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas, where players could choose to support it. We learned in season one that Hank destroyed Shady Sands, claiming it was to protect Vault-Tec’s plan for repopulating Earth. However, his motivations were also personal: his wife, Rose, had left him and moved to Shady Sands, refusing to return. The flashback portrays Shady Sands as a thriving, even beautiful, town – a hopeful vision of a rebuilt world two centuries after the Great War. Its destruction, by another atomic bomb, is a devastating setback for civilization. Hank receives confirmation of the successful bombing on his Pip-Boy and appears briefly shaken, but remains committed to his mission. The scene cuts to a young Lucy asking her father, “When’s mom coming back?” as they begin to read The Wind in the Willows.

Hudson, who is currently promoting her new film Song Sung Blue, recently made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, and she was asked directly by host Andy Cohen about her past connection to everyone’s favorite neighborhood superhero. A fan submitted a question asking if she had at one point turned down the role of Mary Jane, and in confirming the story, the actress explained why she doesn’t have any regrets about it. I’m really impressed with the cast of Percy Jackson season 2 – they’re bringing a more mature feel to the show, and it’s working! Episode 4, where Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Clarisse head into the Sea of Monsters, is fantastic. It’s easily the most exciting and engaging episode so far – the show is really hitting its stride and taking some big swings with the story, and I’m loving it!

As a big fan of Taylor Sheridan’s work, I’ve noticed that Landman season 2 really captures that same feeling of looming trouble you get from Yellowstone. It’s clear Sheridan’s fingerprints are all over every episode, and this season is gripping – M-Tex Oil is in a really tough spot financially after everything that happened with Monty Miller, the previous president, and honestly, it’s all so well-written and compelling.

They’ve seen stars like Halle Berry moved to tears and witnessed Kevin Hart’s kind act towards someone who supported him. One particularly amusing story involves Jonathan Scott and John Stamos’ hair – Stamos appeared on the show to renovate the home of his close friend, Ken. Jonathan recently told TV Insider:

The first season of Pluribus ends with Carol Sturka realizing she’s been living in a fantasy with her new partner, Zosia. Carol figures out that no matter how firmly she refuses to join Zosia’s group, they’ll always find a way around her objections. The method Zosia and the others are using to try and convert Carol was actually hinted at way back in Season 1, Episode 3, “Grenade,” within a single line of dialogue revealing details about Carol’s history.

With his new Apple TV show, Pluribus, creator Dan Gilligan is trying something different. The show—a unique, end-of-the-world story about a woman trying to save humanity from a strangely cheerful virus that connects everyone’s minds—is full of possible meanings. It’s the kind of show that invites deep analysis: the main character, Carol Sturka (played by Rhea Seehorn), could be seen as a symbol of grief, loneliness in the digital age, humanity versus AI, or even depression—and the possibilities don’t stop there. Gilligan intentionally avoids providing easy answers. He wants viewers to interpret Pluribus in whatever way resonates with them. He’s thrilled when people share their own unique understandings of the show, often discovering interpretations he hadn’t even considered.
