The highly anticipated second season of X-Men ’97 just revealed its first trailer. Many consider the first season to be the best Marvel project since Endgame, and a standout superhero cartoon in its own right. It successfully brought back the feel of the original X-Men: The Animated Series, combining dramatic personal stories with exciting action. While boasting a grand scope, the show remained focused on the characters and their relationships.

Following the huge success of season 1 around the world, filming for season 2 of the Prime Video series Young Sherlock has begun. The show, directed and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Sherlock Holmes – a 19-year-old Oxford University student who is years away from becoming the famous detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The new season will see young Sherlock investigating his first cases involving murder and intrigue.

Annette Bening handles a lot of suggestive dialogue with skill. This installment features a short but compelling exchange between Beulah and Sheriff Wade, where she subtly reminds him of her campaign contributions and redirects his attention from her missing worker to her troubled granddaughter, Oleana. There’s also a fraught hospital visit where Beulah silences a ranch hand who wants to return to old methods, hinting that the group’s recent shift in behavior hasn’t been long in the making. Finally, we hear a threatening phone call where a man warns Beulah about a large cattle movement and demands everything goes smoothly.

The first season of The Testaments has successfully captivated audiences and established itself as a compelling series. While introducing a new generation of characters within the world of Gilead – and featuring familiar faces like Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia – the show maintains strong connections to The Handmaid’s Tale, creating a sense of familiarity. The Testaments learned from its predecessor, cleverly avoiding some of the issues that plagued The Handmaid’s Tale. With a faster pace and more focused stories, the first season draws viewers into a thrilling and unsettling world.

In the thriller Get Out, a nightclub owner (Russell Crowe) finds himself in danger from ruthless cartels as he tries to sell his club and retire. Just as he’s facing multiple attacks, a potential buyer emerges, but his motives might be more sinister than they seem.

While the current team is excellent, many dedicated fans will always have a soft spot for the original BAU team. Thankfully, season 4 of Evolution still includes some familiar faces, with AJ Cook as JJ leading the way. Having been on the show for almost its entire run, JJ has experienced a lot of professional and personal changes. Most recently, she’s been dealing with a particularly difficult time, as season 18 of Criminal Minds saw the death of her husband, Wil LaMontagne, leaving her a widow.

At the close of Deli Boys season 2, Raj and Mir achieve a major win, but a looming new threat hints at future challenges. Surprisingly, business is thriving for the pair as the season begins, and they’ve finally paid off their debts. Now, as co-chiefs, they’re making good money, but they still need to figure out how to legitimize it.

Recently, there’s been a growing interest in narrative-driven adventure games, especially after some recent releases didn’t quite succeed. However, the Broken Sword video game series pioneered this approach way back in 1996. The five games in the series center around historical mysteries, like the Knights Templar and the Voynich Manuscript. They were primarily point-and-click adventures that prioritized a compelling story over intense action or complicated puzzles.

Similar to Lost, Fringe was co-created by J.J. Abrams, alongside Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The show ran for 100 episodes, from 2008 to 2013. Like The X-Files, Fringe began as a series of standalone sci-fi mysteries, but it eventually developed a larger, more intricate storyline and mythology. It has all the qualities of a truly great genre television show, so why isn’t it remembered as one?

The show is based on the Wool, Shift, and Dust novels by Graham Yost, and while it largely follows the books’ main plot, it also adds new stories and changes some characters. This makes it tricky even for book readers to keep track of what’s happening and how it differs. With the series ending after season four and season two leaving viewers on a major cliffhanger, season three will be essential for revealing key details and clarifying the overall story.
