Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is now available as a digital download for Nintendo Switch and Steam, and as a physical copy for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. A free demo, called ‘Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Prologue,’ is available on the North American eShop, the UK eShop, the PlayStation Store for PS5, and Steam. Progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full game. Please note that this demo is specifically for the original Nintendo Switch model.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain, a role-playing game based on the Touhou series and designed like a tabletop game, is now available as a Deluxe Edition on Steam. The complete game costs $14.99 and supports English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean languages.
Though it’s the second book in the Silo series, *Shift* actually takes place before the events of *Wool*. Right now, you can find a special collector’s edition of *Wool* at Walmart for just $20 – it’s half off the original price of $40! It was also available on Amazon, but it’s currently sold out. Both Amazon and Walmart are offering the complete Silo Series 3-Book Box Set for a record-low price of $22 – a great deal considering it was first published in paperback back in 2020. Xbox has announced price increases for its Series S and Series X consoles in the US, starting October 3rd. This change is due to the current economic climate. The price hikes vary by model; for example, the Series S 512 GB will go up by $20, and the Series X 2 TB Galaxy Black will increase by $70. Interestingly, the new price of the Series X is now higher than the recently increased price of the PS5 Pro. It’s hard to imagine any remake fully capturing the magic of the original, but this first chapter comes remarkably close. I was eager to return to Liberl and experience Estelle and Joshua’s initial journey, but I also worried about how much Falcom would update the classic *Trails in the Sky*. I hoped they’d find a good balance – modernizing the game and adding new content while still preserving what made the original so special. My biggest concern was that they might overdo it, turning a quick, personal adventure into something overly complicated and different.
