PS6 won’t win over players with its graphics, according to ex PlayStation CEO. „They can’t do what they’ve done before”

During an early October podcast on the Skill Up channel, Shuhei Yoshida discussed Sony’s plans for its next console, the PlayStation 6. While Sony hasn’t officially announced the PS6, Yoshida, a former head of the PlayStation brand, explained that Hideaki Nishino, PlayStation’s general manager, will need a strong vision for how it will improve upon the PS5. Simply having better graphics isn’t enough, as the visual differences are becoming increasingly difficult to see.

Steam has quietly added a new feature that helps you keep track of your wishlisted games

Steam wishlists are a valuable resource for video game developers. While not foolproof, they give developers an idea of how much interest there is in their game. A high number of wishlists can also help studios attract funding or find a publisher. Essentially, the more people who wishlist a game, the better, as Steam automatically notifies them when the game launches, a demo is available, or it goes on sale. That’s why many trailers, particularly for games made by smaller teams, end with a request to add the game to your wishlist – it’s a simple and effective way to support indie developers.
