According to a recent survey by the ESA, video games are high on kids’ wish lists this holiday season. While money and gift cards (69%) are the most requested gifts, followed by clothes and accessories (63%), 58% of kids said they’d like to receive video games as gifts this year.
This update introduces several new features, including the challenging Surge of Voidrax – a 100-wave endless battle – along with fresh skins, the option to skip the prologue, and the Voidrax Pathfinder, which lets you explore more freely. There’s also a host of other improvements.
The free RPG, Heavy Spoilers RPG, launched on Steam on June 6th. The game first came out in Japan in April 2023, and the Steam version now includes an English translation. A major plot twist is that the final boss is revealed to be the hero’s father.
This new series is set in Japan in the late 1800s, a time when the samurai class was being dissolved. The story centers around Shujiro Saga, played by Junichi Okada, who fights in a dangerous competition with a huge prize of 100 billion yen. He hopes to win the money to help his wife and son, who are suffering from cholera.
We’ve gained a lot of knowledge over the past decade, especially from developing the Steam Deck. We now have all the necessary hardware and software to achieve our goal,” said Aldehayyat. “We wanted a device powerful enough to play all Steam games, but also easy to use. Keeping the device affordable was a key consideration, and price heavily influenced the level of performance we aimed for. We also looked at data from the Steam Hardware Survey to understand what kind of hardware people already have, and we’ve made sure the Steam Machine performs as well as or better than 70% of those systems.”
The rules for the trade event on December 6th say that items must fit inside a box measuring 20x20x20 inches, and GameStop employees have the final say on whether or not an item is accepted for trade.
