A young boy became an internet sensation after a Halloween costume mishap left him temporarily resembling the villain Frieza from Dragon Ball Z. He got latex wall paint on his skin, and it proved very difficult to remove.
The incident went viral on social media, showing a boy painted white and purple to look like the fourth form of a famous anime villain.
TV Azteca reports that the boy’s parents made his costume with regular house paint, thinking it would come off easily with water after the event.
However, things didn’t go as planned.
Child trapped as Frieza after Dragon Ball cosplay goes wrong
The paint was really hard to get off after the party. It stuck to the child’s skin and wouldn’t wash away, even after several tries.
Online videos depict a boy covered in paint while adults attempt to wash it off.
Without Goku, Vegeta, or Trunks to challenge him, this event surprised and worried fans.
The issue quickly became popular online, with many people questioning the use of materials not meant for skin contact directly on the body.
In a video on his Facebook page, a boy wondered how to get something off, asking, “Will paint remover, like Stripsol, actually work?”
Although details about the child’s condition are still emerging, the incident has started a larger discussion about safety. Many people are now advising parents to only use face and body paints or costumes made to be safely applied to skin.
We don’t know if the boy needed to collect the Dragon Balls to return to his original state, or if this new form is how he’ll stay permanently.
