When selecting characters for Blade’s teams in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s crucial to prioritize units that complement his skill of managing Health Points (HP). Characters such as Jingliu and Castorice are beneficial since they continuously drain Blade’s HP, enabling him to accumulate his passive more rapidly. Furthermore, characters capable of raising the chances of enemies attacking Blade can be valuable additions to the team as well.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t stress enough the importance of having the most effective Support Units, such as Sunday, Tribbie, and Ruan Mei, by Blade’s side. Unlike other characters that primarily offer ATK buffs to no avail for him, these units prioritize boosting his damage output or debuffing enemies’ RES. Even though Blade might not be a top-tier unit on his own, teaming him with characters who bring out the best in him allows him to stand toe-to-toe with the game’s top DPS units.

Best Blade Team Comp In HSR – Honkai: Star Rail

Here are some samples of Blade team comps in HSR:

  • Team 1: Blade + Sunday + Tribbie + Hyacine
  • Team 2: Blade + Castorice + Tribbie + Hyacine
  • Team 3: Blade + Ruan Mei + Bronya + Gallagher
  • Team 4: Blade + Jingliu + Silver Wolf + Lynx

Blade + Sunday + Tribbie + Hyacine

Sole Focus On Blade

On Sunday, Tribbie, and Hyacine are the top choices for Blade’s optimal team in HSR. If Blade lacks a Memosprite, Sunday remains an excellent choice due to his ability to enable Blade to move more frequently, while also providing substantial boosts.

Alternatively, Tribbie functions similarly to a Nihility-style Harmony unit, providing debuffs for the team and significantly contributing in terms of damage. Similarly, Hyacine offers a good balance of sustainability and decent team damage output.

Blade + Castorice + Tribbie + Hyacine

Castorice Dual DPS

In the olden days, Blade and Jingliu worked seamlessly together due to her knack for draining his HP. In this team with Blade, it’s Castorice who excels at this role, even dealing additional damage with it. The fact that all three characters in the team, including Blade, Tribbie, and Hyacine are HP-centric significantly boosts Castorice’s damage output.

It’s no accident that Tribbie and Hyacine are backing this Blade team too, given their exceptional synergy with HP-focused teams. Positioning Blade near Castorice is beneficial because they attract the most strikes, and when Area of Effect (AoE) attacks impact either of them, it boosts Blade’s stacks, enabling him to execute more Counterattacks.

Blade + Ruan Mei + Bronya + Gallagher

Semi-F2P Blade

Combining Blade with Ruan Mei and Bronya positions him for inflicting massive damage. Given that the team is composed solely of support characters, it falls on Blade to serve as the primary damage dealer while the others boost his firepower. Bronya continually grants Blade additional actions, thereby enabling him to activate his talent’s passive more frequently by consistently adjusting her own HP level.

Furthermore, there’s a minor overlap in function between Ruan Mei and Gallagher since their gameplay focuses on Break DMG. However, it is primarily Gallagher who is included in this Blade team to provide durability or sustain. Players might consider swapping him out for Lynx, a character who can heal the team while boosting the chances of Blade getting attacked.

All in all, this Blade team comp in HSR focuses on units that are accessible for F2P players.

Blade + Jingliu + Silver Wolf + Lynx

Old Is Gold Team

The original characters who received an upgrade alongside Blade form a lively team. In this setup, Jingliu is designed to enhance Blade’s subsequent attacks. Moreover, Lynx contributes by provoking enemies to continue attacking Blade, thus boosting the effectiveness of his Talent’s stacks. Both Lynx and Blade have high Health Points (HP), which aids Jingliu in healing more effectively when she uses their HP.

In the meantime, “Silver Wolf” boosts the team’s damage output by reducing enemies’ Resistance and Defense. Her area-of-effect debuffs complement “Blade” particularly well, as he can attack all enemies during his Follow-up attacks. Alternatively, characters like “Cipher” and “Pela” from Nihility are equally effective in replacing Silver Wolf on the team.
