BLACKPINK’s Lisa “hologram” at Coachella goes viral but the live audience missed out

Okay, so Coachella 2026 was insane! BLACKPINK’s Lisa and DJ Anyma put on this HUGE digital performance that totally blew everyone away, but it turned out to be a really convincing illusion. We were all tricked, honestly, but in the best way! It looked so real!

Viewers of Anyma’s live YouTube stream were amazed when a giant, incredibly realistic digital version of Lisa appeared to perform their new song, “Bad Angel.”

The huge image appeared to hang right above the stage, prompting many online viewers to compliment the festival’s impressive budget and Anyma’s trademark, massive-scale visuals.

Despite the impressive image shown on TV, people at the festival quickly pointed out online that it wasn’t real. The giant Lisa was a digital effect added to the broadcast, meaning those actually at the event couldn’t see it with their own eyes.

Fans react to Coachella’s AR illusion

The reveal quickly became a big topic of discussion on Reddit and other social media platforms. While many watching online were impressed by how flawlessly the augmented reality team created the illusion, people who were actually at the event thought it was strange to leave the live audience out of the experience.
