In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin‘s price climbed upwards, surpassing $67,000 before facing resistance and retreating slightly.

The majority of alternative cryptocurrencies have experienced minor price decreases daily, with the exception of Ripple (XRP), which has seen a 3% increase.

BTC’s Run Halted

Last week, the cryptocurrency market showed signs of pessimism, with Bitcoin dipping below $60,000 multiple times. The most recent drop occurred on Friday due to heightening conflict between Iran and Israel.

Despite Iran’s announcement that they would not respond immediately, the asset managed to recoup almost all its losses within a few hours. Consequently, Bitcoin’s price had rebounded and was hovering around $65,000 when the fourth halving occurred in the early hours of April 20th.

After that point, bitcoin has been experiencing steady advancements, rising approximately $500 to $1,000 per day. This escalation led to a high of $67,200 today, marking a multi-week peak. Yet, the bears interfered and prevented any additional growth.

Instead of increasing as previously noted, bitcoin’s price has actually dropped by over $1,000 since then and now hovers around $66,000. However, its market cap has reached $1.3 trillion once again, while bitcoin maintains a 51% dominance over the alternative cryptocurrencies on CoinGecko.

TON Keeps Dumping

Last week, CryptoPotato announced that Tether grew its presence on the TON blockchain by introducing two of its stablecoins. This development initially boosted Toncoin‘s value, but unfortunately, the asset has since dropped significantly. In just the past 24 hours, Toncoin suffered a 10% loss and is now battling to stay above $5.5.

Most larger alternative cryptocurrencies are experiencing slight losses, with the exception of XRP. The value of XRP, Ripple’s native token, has risen by 3% due to recent advancements regarding the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The total crypto market cap has stalled since yesterday at just over $2.550 trillion on CoinGecko.
