Okay, so I’m super hyped for Battlefield 6 Season 3! They’re bringing back two maps I absolutely loved from older games – Golmud Railway and Grand Bazaar. But it’s not just a straight copy-paste; they’re giving them a total update to fit the current game, which is awesome.
Season 3 arrives in May with a fresh Battle Pass, new weapons and game modes, and two exciting new maps: Railway to Golmud and Cairo Bazaar.
These aren’t completely new maps, but fresh takes on two classic Battlefield locations. They’ve been visually updated with better graphics, more places to take cover, and improved sound design.
Man, I really loved playing Golmud Railway in Battlefield 4. It was set in this part of China called Qinghai, and it was awesome because it was all about vehicles – tanks, APCs, everything! But it wasn’t just about the vehicles; there was still plenty of room for infantry combat too, which made it a really well-rounded map.
Battlefield 6 takes place in Tajikistan and is currently titled ‘Railway to Golmud’. This location connects to the previously established areas of Liberation Peak and Mirak Valley, both also located in Tajikistan.
This won’t be a simple re-release of the original game. It will feature updated visuals, a wider view of the sky during air battles, and a significantly larger map – almost four times bigger than the Mirak Valley map.
The Grand Bazaar map in Battlefield 3 is set in Tehran, Iran. It’s designed for fast-paced, close-range fighting within the city’s tight streets, alleyways, and market areas, encouraging players to constantly move and try to outmaneuver their opponents.
Battlefield 6 is changing locations again, with the new setting ‘Cairo Bazaar’ taking place in Egypt, alongside the areas of Siege of Cairo and New Sobek City.
With the start of Season 3, players can explore the new Railway to Golmud. Later in the season, the Cairo Bazaar map will be added. Season 4 will introduce naval combat, along with the Tsuru Reef and Wake Island maps.
