Ever since its release, Battlefield 6 players have been eagerly requesting a Server Browser and the ability to join servers that stay online continuously. Now, DICE has announced that both features are officially being added to the game.
The Server Browser is a feature in Battlefield that’s been around for a while. It lets you see a list of all the available game servers, including how many people are playing on each, and how well you’ll connect to them. You can use it to choose the server you want to play on.
For a long time, Battlefield games included a server browser, letting players choose specific servers to join. However, Battlefield 2042 didn’t have this feature, forcing players to use the game’s automatic matchmaking. Despite player requests for its return, Battlefield 6 also launched without a server browser.
The developers suggested using Portal mode to find servers, but these aren’t official, long-lasting servers. They’re temporary lobbies created by players that don’t often get much activity.
Before the Season 3 update arrives in May, the game developers have announced that Server Browsers and persistent servers are a top priority and will be added to the game soon.
Server Browser coming to BF6 in 2026
Server browsing won’t be available in Season 3. While there’s no exact release date yet, DICE has stated it will be launched sometime this year.

New seasons of the game will be released throughout the year, starting with Season 3 in May, followed by Season 4 in July, and Season 5 in the fall – probably in September or October. We’re planning to include the Server Browser in one of these updates, and we’ll share more details when we have them.
In addition to the Server Browser, DICE is reintroducing multiplayer leaderboards and Platoons – a popular social feature from past games. Platoons let you join an in-game community with a unique tag, making it simpler to connect and play with others.
While we’re still waiting to hear about future updates, Season 3 is now live with the return of the popular Golmud Railway map, Battle Royale solo matches, and other exciting content.
