Baseball star Will Klein gifted amazing Pokemon glove, but it might not be game legal

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Will Klein received a special Pokemon-themed glove, but it may not be allowed for use during official games.

Klein became well-known after joining the Dodgers last year, but recently people have been noticing his passion for Pokemon.

A generous donation from 44 Pro, a baseball glove company, has allowed Klein to enjoy playing baseball with a miniature figure of his favorite Pokémon character.

Tyranitar glove given to Pokemon fan Will Klein

Klein posted a picture on Instagram showing off the latest glove he’s adding to his collection of custom-made baseball gloves.

So, I pulled a Tyranitar card inside this glove, which is awesome! But honestly, I’m worried about using it in a real competition. It’s a special card, and I’d probably ruin it if I tried to play with it professionally. It’s a tough spot – a cool card, but maybe not one I can actually use use.

Blake Williams shared that he received a Tyranitar glove as a surprise gift. According to a post on X, Will Klein told him that 44 asked about his favorite Pokémon and then gifted him the glove. While Klein doubts the glove is legal for gameplay and worries it might damage the card, he still thought it was a cool gift.

Will Klein shared that Drake asked him what his favorite Pokémon was, and then unexpectedly gifted him a Tyranitar glove. Will doesn’t believe the glove is allowed in official gameplay and worries using it would damage the card, but he still thought it was really cool.

This isn’t the first instance of Dodgers star Gavin Klein letting his passion for Pokémon influence his baseball career. Recently, he was caught on camera excitedly opening packs of trading cards after the Pack Battle Shop tossed some onto the field following a game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Klein’s collection included a Dugtrio ex card and a Metagross, both of which really impressed pitching coach Connor McGuiness. He was prepared to protect his cards, even bringing sleeves to keep them safe in his locker.
