Arc Raiders features a story told through a series of quests, and it begins with ‘Water Troubles.’ This quest requires you to collect a water sample from the Dam Battlegrounds, but finding the exact location can be tricky. We’ll guide you through the process to make it easier.
You can start this quest with whatever gear you have – you don’t need to gather anything first. This way, you won’t risk losing valuable items if you encounter difficulties in the Dam Battlegrounds.
When you’re ready to set off, here’s how to complete Water Troubles.

Where to find the Flood Access Tunnel
To begin the Water Troubles quest, you need to find the Flood Access Tunnel. It’s in the Red Lakes area, on the right side of the map. You can reach it by walking up from below or by sliding or ziplining down to Red Lake, as it’s just to the right of the Control Tower.

Where to find the intake to the district’s water supply
As you move to the southern part of the map, look for a large opening in the concrete wall under the Control Tower. This opening leads to the area’s water supply system.

Where to collect the water sample
Go into the tunnel and follow the path until you find a pool of dirty water. Take the water sample by interacting with the pipe on the left side.

Now that you have the water sample, it’s time to return to Speranza. The Red Lakes Balcony Lift to the southeast is a convenient route, but be cautious – it’s often patrolled by ARC soldiers and other bandits who are scavenging the nearby Testing Annex. A stealthy approach is recommended to ensure a safe journey home.
